The MetaWearRG is our motion, health, fitness, and gaming sensor solution.

Stream raw sensor data via Bluetooth at up to 100Hz. Access the data as a CSV file on your phone, hub, tablet, computer, server, or the cloud.

The MetaWear RG board comes with Bluetooth Low Energy, an ARM M0 MCU, buffer memory, a button, an LED, GPIOs and the following sensors:

  • BMI160 Accelerometer + Gyroscope
  • NCP15XH103F03RC Temperature (Thermistor)
  • Includes a USB rechargeable battery

MetaWear RG is the sensor platform for fast and easy IMU measurements in fitness, health and gaming applications.

This sensor is ideal for streaming sensor data.

The board comes is a very small rectangular form factor and 6 axis of motion sensing (3-axis accelerometer + 3-axis gyroscope).

Additional sensors can be attached via the general purpose I/O pins. There is an LED and push button switch on the board.

The board is powered by a lithium battery that is USB rechargeable.

The board is based on the nRF51822 SOC from Nordic built around a ARM® Cortex™ M0 CPU and Bluetooth Low Energy.

The on board memory acts as a buffer to optimally stream sensor data directly to your Device (Smartphone, Hub, Tablet or PC).

Sensor data is available:

  • as a CSV file on your Smartphone, Tablet, Computer or BLE Device (using the MetaBase App)
  • as a CSV file in the MetaCloud (using the MetaBase App)
  • as a CSV file on the MetaHub (using the MetaBase App)
  • as a JSON array in your own App code (using our Python/C++/C#/Java/Javascript/Swift APIs)
