I replaced all the time out intervals with a #define for ease-of-replacing, try upping that value just to ensure that the timeout is valid.  All the await's everywhere make it hard to verify that the

There is no public documentation about those status codes that I am aware of.  You can look up the #define macros in the Android C code to get a cursory understanding of what could be wrong.
