This looks fine, what is the issue?
-
The metal will affect the magnetometer and will slightly attenuate the bluetooth signal. Assuming the magnet is a reasonable size, no other items will be affected in any way.
-
No, the calibration available is for sensor fusion only. You can calibrate yourself in software if you want at the app level but that is your responsibility.
-
Can you do something simple and post data? Turn on the sensor fusion, rotate the device on a flat surface 360 and share the data you get. You are trying to troubleshoot your sensor doing something too complicated. Make sure it works in idle and d…

Hi Michael, You can email hello@mbientlab and we will send you the datasheet for the battery. We don't have a 3d drawing but you can recreate it from the datasheet.
-
You need to provide pictures and videos to support your claim. Have you tried charging it and leaving it plugged in? Is the battery damaged? Have you tried resetting it? Did you follow the steps at https://mbientlab.com/troubleshooting/? Have…

Try the higher modes (16g), as Eric mentioned, you are likely saturating the data.

Update: I think that it is not possible to stream euler and corrected acceleration from sensor module due to the fact that BLE has limit 100Hz. Can i reduce the frequency to 50Hz for both outputs? You might be able to push 120Hz (100Hz acc +…
-
Is it possible to stream Euler angles and Corrected Acceleration at the same time with MetamotionR? No but you can use the fuser and do euler + regular acc Also is there any plan to upgrade MetaMotion to Bluetooth 5? If so, will there …

We have multiple battery suppliers to guarantee stock at all times. Each battery maker will have subtle differences in process and shape and this is what you are experiencing. This is normal. Please note that lipo batteries do have life cycles of …

This information is available on the web: High accuracy quaternion: 2-3 deg (static) https://www.ineltek.com/en/bosch-sensortec-bno055-9-axis-sensor-absolute-orientation-sensor/

Yes, as per our tutorials: https://mbientlab.com/tutorials/Apple.html
-
Use a high pass filter and averager to smooth out the data.
-
This can only be done using our APIs (this cannot be done in the Metabase App).
-
That's not really how Bluetooth works. It has to be always connectable. You can obfuscate the protocol. No one should really know it's a MetaWear and use the metawear APIs unless you tell them or they are a hacker. Changing the device name helps a…
-
If the metawear doesn't advertise then it cannot be connected to. Bluetooth devices have to advertise in order to be connectable. No ad = no connect. This wouldn't make any sense as our users would think the metawear would be broken.

@Markus, Post details on your issue or try doing something differently.

Hey @monkstownman, Can you make sure this isn't the issue: https://windowsreport.com/bluetooth-issues-windows-10-v1809/

Try item #3 and get back to us. 4. Can you replace the battery? The battery could just be low. 5. Did you follow the steps at www.mbientlab.com/troubleshooting?

a) I already have it in my tutorial to refer to the dongles in a per hci# basis, you shouldn't have to change the mac address. That being said, I will add it as a side note. b) it is not possible as we do not own these dongles and they come as-is.
-
Definitely make sure the dongle is supported first. Not all dongles are supported (there's a link to a list on our tutorials). Don't forget to update everything as well: https://mbientlab.com/tutorials/Linux.html#dongles Maybe just a reboot ... it…
-
@Eric, No they don't necessarily have unique mac address but they will get a unique hci # assigned by the OS so @gwenger could have used that instead.

Also don't forget to calibrate: https://mbientlab.com/tutorials/Calibration.html

Yes, MMR can stay powered. A lot of users do one of the following: 1. Solder a bigger lipo battery to the MMR (you need technical skills to do this and note that it will no longer fit in the case). 2. Plug the micro-usb into their laptop or an AC …
