Great news. You can start a new thread or check other threads regarding the battery.
-
I think Eric is asking you to share code and more details. There is so little information in your post I might have to delete this entire thread.

-Does the device always record the entire length of memory when logging? No, why would it? I.E. if the Calc says itll log for 11mins, can the user stop the logging sooner than that? Yes, as per our APIs and our metabase app, there is a start and st…

There is a calculator in our tutorial to calculate the logging time. You should ALWAYS check tutorials first.

@StefanoLai, There is a PCM on the battery AND a battery monitor + charging circuit on the board. Our best guess is that the batteries depleted beyond rechargeable capability (battery drained below 3V). You can email hello[at]mbientlab[dot]…

Use Node10 or Node8 DO NOT USE Node12

Anything you add will not longer fit in the MMR case (the MMR case is fairly snug); I suggest you make your own case. We have 3d models you can use in the documentation section of our website.

Thanks leex, good to know!
-
Awesome. Which brand worked and which didn't? What is your computer brand and OS? This could help future folks.
-
Just make sure its voltage compliant with the MMC. It likely won't run on the coin cell of the MMC as it can only deliver 20mA of current. You would need to run it off the MMR which has a lipo battery that can deliver up to 1A of current.

You can find this information in the datasheet: www.mbientlab.com/documentation

You need to use our Javascript or C APIs to do this. We use a custom protocol, not standard services and characteristics and we do not have documentation about this. Please use our APIs.

Can you do the hard reset while the unit is plugged in (short pins) and then use a brand new iPhone to connect to the sensor (one that has never been used before with your sensors). Do this exactly as written...don't use an android phone, don't u…

Thank you for the update!

Yes, please try a different brand. https://mbientlab.com/tutorials/Linux.html?highlight=dongle#dongles

What about different dongles, have you tried that yet?
-
Is it working now that you have fixed the i2c settings?
-
It should work just fine in theory. Try it out and let us know; I haven't been able to get my hands on a pi4 to try it out yet.
-
As long as it works on a 3v power line and it's i2c compatible, I don't see why it wouldn't work in theory.

BLE data transfer is essentially a one-way communication. A Bluetooth Low Energy device broadcasts ad packets of data at regular intervals of time. These data packets are detected by smartphones/computers nearby. To save energy and provide higher…

Bluetooth devices send advertising packets to broadcast data, and to allow other devices (scanners) to find and connect to them. The advertising data consists up to 31 bytes of user configurable data. An additional 31 bytes can be sent as a scan res…

You need to write your own code using our developer APIs to do that: www.mbientlab.com/developers. We also have the metahub where most of the code is already written for you: www.mbientlab.com/tutorials.

The devices might have an expired battery if they worked years ago but no longer work. Did you leave them out and not charge them? When did they work previously?

Does it work with your smartphone and the mobile metabase app?
