Number of Logs in the logging module

Hi, I'm currently using any motion detection interrupt to trigger sampling and route the data into logging module. I connect to the board every few minutes and download the activities. However, if there's no data logged into the logging module, the asyncOperation downloadLog will not respond. I have to manually interrupt the download process.

Is there any way to figure out there's no data logged to the logging module?

    the downloadLog function reports how many entries the API is requesting to download.
