When does onbaord logger stop logging?

I realize that there is a limit on the number of log entries kept on the device.. So my question is, when the logger's memory is full, does it stop logging until i download the logs or does it deletes older entries and keeps logging?

    if you enable overwrite mode, it will overwrite the oldest entries.  if not, no more data will be logged.
