recording translation and rotation data - MetaMotion R

Hello- I recently purchased the MMR in hopes to be able to record x,y,z translation and rotation of the sensor to drive the motion of a 3D object in a software program (importing the cvs file as translation XYZ and rotation XYZ.)   Has anyone used the MMR to drive a virtual object's translation and rotation? 

If so, what is the best data / settings to record those movements?  what unit space does the translation get recorded at?
