Connection to external flex sensors
Hey all,
I am currently working on a project in which we are using two MetaMotionR's in a pair of sensor-enabled athletic shoes. On each sensor, we are trying to incorporate two flex sensors (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8606) in order to observe flex in two different directions.
I do not have much experience with circuitry and am a bit confused as to how this type of sensor could be tied into the ports on this device. Thanks!
Michael

The MMR boards have GPIO pins, which you can use to connect external sensors. Take a look at the MMR datasheet (https://mbientlab.com/documentation) to see the electrical specifications and which GPIO pins can read analog data.
You should find someone experienced with electronic circuits to help you setup the circuit diagram and do the wiring / soldering.
There is an example of how to hook it up to a 5V arduino here, just make sure your voltage divider is for a 3V power (and not 5V like this example): https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/flex-sensor-hookup-guide/all
