I am wondering if you can add a larger battery or storage card inside the sensor without changing the size of the sensor since the battery and storage cannot meet our needs for now.

Forgot to add the sensor type. It is MetaMotion R.
A bigger battery = bigger sensor size. So unfortunately it is not possible to magically make a bigger battery fit into the same form-factor.
You can do a few DIY modifications and clip the tabs inside the case to make it bigger but this would be very "hack-y".
A lot of folks also add battery packs to their MMR or plug it in to USB power permanently for longer applications.
