Pedometer step count detection in firmware

do you have any plan to implement pedometer step count detection algorithm in firmware? without firmware support we can't get step count from mobile app, real time accelerometer reading will not workout in fitness app.

    Good news..! Thanks for your update.
    I have another question. All fitness devices are storing step count data into device. Stored data will be imported into mobile through ble sync.
    How metawear will work?

    While this feature is appreciated, is may not be of value to many users especially if it increases battery drain. This feature must be user selectable and disabled by default.
