Reset message/op code

Hello, 

For reasons related to packaging we don't have access to the reset pushbutton, and after a firmware update we're unable to connect to MetaWear with MbientLab iOS application. We have an app which can connect with the devices and we want to reset them through our app so that we might resolve the issue of their connectivity with MbienLab application.
My question is, what is the reset message or op code we have to send to the devices so they do a reset instructed over BLE?
We already looked through the source codes and documentation and found nothing.

    Write [0xfe, 0x01] to issue a reset.

    Regarding the MetaWear app, does the board not show up in the scan or it does but the app fails to connect?
