C# Question

I wanted to develop a simple C# program, that just collect accelerometer data. I do not need any Use interface at this point. All the samples show a UWP app, for which I need to run a Windows Phone emulator.

Is there a sample of a C# program, that does not need to be run through an emulator?

Universal Windows apps can be run as both a desktop or mobile app.
