Mbient does not show up on Mac Book Pro

I have a Mac Book Pro and it does not see the mbient device. It shows up
on Raspberry Pi and the PC, but not the Mac. Is there something I need
to do to get it show up on a Mac Book?

Its a Mac Book Pro 13, with 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports

How are you scanning for the MetaWear device on your mac?  Are you using the JavaScript or the Swift SDKs to perform a device scan?

I am just using the mac bluetooth interface. It sees other bluetooth devices, but not mbient

I install the lightblue app and now it shows up
