One MMR failing specifically on gyroscope data

Hello. I have two sensors, both MMR. I wrote several scripts based off the examples that do modified things with accelerometer data and gyroscope data, but they're close to originals. One device works every time, no issues. My other device will blink LED, stream acceleration, connect just fine, but any time it streams Gyroscope data, I immediately get a segmentation fault. It's been charged, and I've done soft resets.

I don't know if the firmware should be updated maybe? The non-working is on 1.3.7 with hardware "0.3", whereas my working one is firmware 1.4.5, hardware 0.4 . Unsure if it's related.
