Touch or capacitive sensor to monitor wearing a splint
I wonder whether anyone has tips on how to hook up a sensor to monitor whether an object is being worn? I would like to add it to the MMC to monitor whether an orthopaedic splint is being worn.
That might be tough. You could just use the ambient light sensor -> if dark the splint is on.
Otherwise you can try stuff like this:
Thanks Laura. Apologies for the delay in replying. I have identified a sensor similar to the one you suggested (https://uk.farnell.com/sensor-solutions-te-connectivity/11026911-00/piezoelectric-sensor-voltage-200mv/dp/2717444?st=piezoelectric sensor).
I would like to hook it up to the MMC and have it read the sensor every 1 min with the data stored on the board to be downloaded at a later date. I realise this is probably basic stuff but am struggling to understand the tutorials. Do I need to build my own app or can I modify the current software in meta base?
Hey mgardiner, you can modify the metabase or build your own app. Whatever you prefer.
