Streaming via USB cable

I'm attempting a real-time application in which low latency is uncommonly critical (and should be below 30ms).
At distances of 2ft between bluetooth receiver (MacbookPro) and mbientlab sensor, the latency is over 200ms, well above the specification.

Are there APIs, documented or otherwise, for streaming data via USB cable? If not, I'd urge the mbientlab folks to consider implementing the feature. It would involve a 100x performance improvement at 1/100 of the price of mo-cap technologies.

  • Hi,
We do not currently support USB data.
However, in our new sensor called the MMS coming out in 2021, we will support the latest Bluetooth spec as well as USB data downloads.
There will also be additional memory on the MMS devices. Stay tuned!
