Inconsistent Acceleration Data from Device

The device stopped giving us any data, resetting it all has got it working again but not at all consistently. we've recorded 10 drops from height 1m. The graphs of RMS acceleration should look approximately the same but they are way off. Any ideas please most welcome.

    Couple of questions to help debug:
    1. Do you by chance have another MetaWear board to test with?  If so, are these fluctuations consistent amongst the other boards?
    2. How far off is "way off"?  How many of the graphs are "way off" from what you expect?
    3. Are the MetaWear boards being housed in a case?
