Mbient app accelerometer data is different

Holding the MetaWearR device in any fixed position, I log the data from the mbient app. Then opening our app, with the device in exactly the same position, our log returns different values. Eg mbient app: X=0.158 Y=-0.01 Z=0.992 but in our app X=0.52 Y=0.152 Z= -0.817

Quite a difference! Thank you for any help.

    What iOS API version are you using and what is your code for processing the accelerometer data?  The data from the app is what you would expect for a board laying flat on a table so I find it odd that your app reports completely different values, namely opposite Z values.
