We use a BME280 on the MetaTracker board. Don't really have a suggestion for the MMR boards other than you need to ensure it is compatible with the 3V gpio pins.
You can try to add this to the I2C line of the metamotionR: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13763
However, nothing will be easier than just use the metatracker instead with the built in humidity and pressure sensor.
